Performance materials

DJI Inspire 2 is stronger and more powerful than its predecessor. predecessor. It features a new magnesium-aluminum alloy body, which DJI claims to reduce the weight of the drone while increasing its strength.

Motors

The drone is equipped with a powerful brushless power plant (4 × DJI 3512 motors) providing 2kg of thrust from each motor. Allows you to develop a maximum horizontal flight speed - 94 km / h (80 km / h for Inspire 1), max. takeoff speed - 21 km / h, max. the speed of descent is 36 km / h. Acceleration to 80 km / h is realized in 5 seconds and all this with unmatched handling.

Power

The Inspire 2 has two intelligent lithium polymer TB50 batteries. Performance of each: 6S 22.8V 4280mAh 97.58Wh. Weight of one battery: 515 grams. Provide a maximum flight duration of 23 minutes with a camera Zenmuse X7 and 27 minutes with a camera Zenmuse X4S (above sea level, in calm weather). The DJI Inspire 2 can fly very high up to 5 kilometers above sea level (provided that special propellers are used). The drone is also equipped with a self-heating battery system that allows the drone to operate at temperatures down to -20 ° C.

Camera

An important difference between the DJI Inspire 2 and all other drones is the presence of not one, but two cameras on board. Depending on the configuration, the drone can be equipped with one of the three available cameras of the Zenmuse family - X4S / X5S / X7 implemented in a 3-axis 360-degree mechanical gimbal with a mechanism quick release. It is located classically at the bottom of the quadcopter.

And also, regardless of the selected kit, it is equipped with a FPV camera installed in the front of the Inspire 2 in a two-axial mechanical suspension to ensure comfortable piloting with a separate Pilot Operator mode of operation.

To fully use the DJI Inspire 2, you need two people: the pilot to control the drone and the operator to control the camera. The picture from the front camera is transmitted to the pilot's control panel, and the picture from the main one to the operator. Both video streams do not overlap and do not interfere with each other.

To meet the needs of professionals, DJI has developed a new image processing system for the Inspire 2 - CineCore 2.1, which allows you to record video in quality up to 6K with a bitrate of 4.4 Gbps. To ensure high processing speed, the developers had to transfer the SSD card slot from the camera to the drone body.

DJI Zenmuse X4S

Zenmuse X5S Built with a 4/3-inch sensor and supports up to 10 different lenses, including zoom lenses. The system also supports CinemaDNG and Apple ProRes video compression formats, which are relevant for cinema professionals.

DJI Zenmuse X5S

DNG and RAW. In addition, the Inspire 2 received a new version of the system for transmitting video streaming in real time (streaming) with an image quality of 1080p at 50 fps and 720p at 60 fps for a distance of up to 7 kilometers. This option will be fully appreciated by reporters and video bloggers.

The top 486 Zenmuse X7cinematic camera designed specifically for the Inspire 2 will be unveiled by DJI a year after the drone's release.

Sensors

If you fly the Inspire 2 alone, the drone can help you capture complex shots using computer vision and autonomous navigation. Like the Mavic Pro and Phantom 4 drones, the Inspire 2 has sensors and cameras to detect and avoid obstacles.

ultrasonic and photo positioning sensors from below. The Inspire 2 is capable of autonomously recognizing and flying around objects, as well as tracking the selected object (intelligent ActiveTrack mode) as the well-known drones of the Phantom 4 and Mavic Pro series can do it, allowing you to automatically aim the camera on the subject for shooting, regardless of the direction of movement of the drone. Therefore, the second operator can be dispensed with.

Standalone modes

The pilot has 7 autonomous flight modes:

  1. Spotlight Pro is one of the best autonomous flight modes. Allows you to automatically track the selected object and keep it in the frame, regardless of the dynamics of the flight. If the range of the camera gimbal reaches its redistribution, the drone will turn itself in the right direction. Moreover, this will not affect either the flight or the quality of the filmed material. Includes two sub-modes: Quick Mode and Composition Mode. Suitable for unattended shooting.
  2. TapFly - tap a spot on the FPV display with your finger and the drone will autonomously fly in its direction. Well, the pilot will be able to concentrate exclusively on shooting.
  3. ActiveTrack - it is enough to select the necessary object for shooting, make corrective settings for recognition accuracy and the drone will follow it in autonomous mode.
  4. Waypoint - point with your finger on the FPV display the points through which the drone should fly, set the altitude and flight speed for each point separately and the drone will perform an autonomous flight in accordance with the specified settings.
  5. Point of Interest - performs an autonomous circular flight of the selected object at a given height, distance and at a given speed.
  6. QuickSpin - fast spin mode, can be activated both automatically and manually. Provides 360 ° rotation of the drone when the gimbal reaches its maximum rotation of 270 °. Sub-modes: TapFly and ActiveTrack.
  7. Return to Home - the drone will autonomously return to the take-off site if communication is lost, or forcibly at the pilot's command, relying on the flight map created by the drone in real time, choosing the shortest path to return.

Control

To control the drone, the developer offers standard DJI control equipment and equipment with extended DJI Cendence functionality.
