Intelligent Modes
Shooting
DJI Spark has 4 modes of intelligent shooting:
QuickShot - make a video clip in one tap. Let Spark take professional shots for you (the drone itself takes pictures for 1 minute), after which a 10 second video will be cut in automatic mode, which you can share as quickly as possible. QuickShots helps you capture stunning cinematic footage in one tap.
In turn, this mode supports 4 options for autonomous shooting:
- Rocket - the drone takes off vertically upward and takes pictures under itself.
- Dronie - the drone takes off from the bottom up, focusing only on you.
- Circle - the drone performs a circular flight around a given target.
- Helix - the drone performs a circular flight around a given target, moving away along a spiral trajectory.
With the DJIGO4 app, it's easier than ever to create a video clip using your recorded video and your favorite music. Select one or several videos from which you want to create your clip, select a caption, filter and click "Create". The clip will be created automatically in a few seconds.
Flight
TapFly - in this mode, the drone will go to its destination with one touch on the screen. Using vision technology, he will proceed to the specified location, tracking obstacles in his path.
Implies 2 flight options:
- Coordinate - touch the place on the screen where you would like Spark to go, and he will fly there while maintaining the specified altitude.
- Direction - continue flying in the direction of the tap on the screen.
ActiveTrack - With this mode, Spark automatically recognizes objects of various shapes and sizes, and then tracks their movement.
There are two variants of the mode:
- Trace - allows you to track the target both in front, behind or around it.
- Profile - follows the object from the set angle.
Gesture - perform full control of the drone using simple hand gestures.
Implies two options:
- Selfies - raise your hands, wave or join your fingers in a frame and Spark obediently takes the photo.
- PalmControl - allows you to zoom out, zoom in, and also move the quad from side to side in accordance with the movement of the user's hands. And also Spark can take off and land from the palm of your hand.
In addition to the existing shooting modes, the quadcopter received two more new modes:
- Pano - drone Capable of shooting horizontal or vertical panoramas, automatically adjusting 2-axis gimbal and camera direction.
- ShallowFocus - using 3D vision technology determines the object in the image, creating photos with a shallow depth of field in order to eventually get a beautiful, professional-quality photo.
Camera
Installed on board the drone by means of a 2-axis mechanical gimbal high-performance 12MP FHD camera built on 1 / 2.3 inch CMOS sensor. The unique tandem is completed by the UltraSmooth technology, which allows high-quality and stable shooting at the output.
The drone camera received a wide-angle lens with an aperture of f / 2.6 with an equivalent focal length of 25mm. The lens consists of five elements in one group. All images captured by Spark are always bright and clear with minimal color aberration and distortion.
Motors
The DJI Spark features powerful brushless motors for wind-resistant flight at speeds up to 50 km / h (in sport mode).
Sport mode becomes active only when using the remote control.
Wi-Fi HD
The innovative HD Wi-Fi technology allows you to stream video in real time at 720p resolution over a distance of up to 2 km.
Power supply
Powerful 1480mAh (3S) intelligent lithium polymer battery, with 12 intelligent protection functions, keeps the drone stable and safe flight. The Spark battery automatically tracks the remaining flight time in real time, so the pilot is always aware of when to return.
Despite all existing intelligent functions, the drone's power supply provides an indicative flight time of up to 16 minutes. There are 3 ways to charge the battery :
- Using the USB cable - in this case, the charging time is 80 minutes.
- By means of a charger ( Charging Hubbatteries - 85.2 minutes.
- Using the docking station " Charging box
* Charging box.
Control
Spark can be controlled in three ways:
- Gestures (distance up to 10 steps)
- Smartphone via DJIGO4 app (distance up to 100 meters)
- Control equipment paired with a smartphone via DJIGO4 app (distance up to 2km)
FlightAutonomy
The FlightAutonomy system consists of a main camera, a VPS positioning system, a 3D sensor system, a GPS / GLONASS satellite positioning system and a 24-core high-performance processor.
This arsenal allows the Spark to perform highly accurate flight both outdoors and indoors. For example, using the VPS visual positioning system, the drone is able to fly and land safely without GPS support (no higher than 30 meters). And also thanks to the 3D-sensor system, it can determine the encountered objects in advance (5 meters away).
Autonomous Return
Like all DJI drone products, Spark is capable of autonomously returning to the takeoff location in three cases:
- Insufficient battery charge
- Loss of signal
- When RTH (Return to home) function is activated.
The drone operates in Obstacle Sensing Mode throughout its journey. Having reached the point, with the camera facing down, Spark verifies the landing site with the images recorded during takeoff and only then makes an accurate landing.
GEO System
G eospatial E nvironment O nline - the system is designed to inform the pilot about how safe the flight can be at the current launch location. GEO will indicate the presence of No-Fly zones (airports, stadiums, etc.) at the launch site. Everything for the sake of safety.
Price
Today DJI Spark is available for sale in the following configurations:
- Spark Controller Combo - 399 $.
- Spark Fly More Combo - $ 549.
