Appearance

did not sell too cheap. The design will delight many. I was also impressed by the flight weight of the drone of only 72.5 grams, the hex is very light. The X800's battery weighs only 18.7 grams, which results in a good performance advantage over other analogues. In general, no unnecessary forms, everything is performed in favor of maneuverability and speed.

  1. Flight time (with mixed piloting style) ≈ 7 minutes.
  2. Battery charging time ≈ 90 min.
  3. Flight range: up to 150 meters.

* The developer offers the X800 in two colors "White" and "Black".

Motors

The MJX X800 Hexacopter is equipped with 7x20mm brushed motors. The low weight, coupled with 6 motors, made it possible to realize distinctive dynamics and vertical thrust at the output. In the "High" mode, there is enough potential in abundance. I am ready to carry on board a good HD camera (Mobius MINI or Firefly Q6) without noticeable loss in handling.

The main disadvantage of collector motors is a small working life, only about 30-40 full-fledged flights, then a gradual deterioration in flight characteristics. Therefore, when purchasing such a hex, it will not be superfluous to buy a spare set of motors.

Device

To get to the internal elements of the hexacopter, the user will need a lot of time to unwind the hull. The bearing screws on the drive shafts of the motors are securely fastened. To remove them, a tool is included in the kit, but it is extremely unreliable to work with it, since careless use can damage the drone itself.

It will take at least 30 minutes to remove the 6 rotor propellers.

Opening the case, you can see a typical assembly for this category of drones: the XN297 RF chip and STM32 microcontrollers on the ARM core. The motors are connected via 1.25 microJST connectors.

Despite the fact that the motors are connected to the hexacopter via microJST connectors, the user will still need a soldering iron to replace them, since new motors are sold without these connectors.

Power supply

The hexacopter is powered by a 3.7V lithium polymer battery with a capacity of 750mAh. According to the specification, it must provide a flight time of up to 10 minutes. In practice, with a mixed style of piloting, this time averaged 7 minutes. It can be charged from the included USB charger in 80-90 minutes.

Control panel

The MJX X800 hexacopter comes with a classic 4-channel control equipment operating at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. Power is supplied from 6 AA batteries. Provides a distance of up to 150 meters in an interference-free area .

A distinctive feature of this equipment is the built-in gyroscope. If you press and hold the right stick until you hear a beep, the remote will enter the “GRAVITY SENSOR” mode. In this mode, the drone is controlled by tilting the equipment itself. Tilt forward - the hex flies forward, lean backward - flies backward, and so on.

There are four buttons on the front of the remote control, the bottom pair is not active in practice. The upper right button is responsible for turning the light on and off, the left one, together with the right control stick, activates flips (flips). The center button turns the drone on and off, and also serves to change flight modes:

  • L - low (quiet mode) suitable for beginners
  • M - medium (average) for more experienced pilots
  • H - high (maximum) for those who are not enough medium

Flight properties

The MJX X800 hexacopter in practice has established itself as the fastest hexacopter in their series. Protracted coups look impressive from the outside. The bright LED lighting is ideal for night flights. Let's note a good radio range. It proved to be excellent when flying outdoors in windy weather. For a drone with such capabilities, I was pleasantly surprised by the flight duration.

Price

Hexacopter MJX X800 is sold on various Internet marketplaces at an average price of 38 $.
