VTOL SDO 50 V2: a Swiss take on commercial unmanned systems.

About the developer

SwissDrones Operating AG is a young high-tech company based in Zevelen, Switzerland. It specializes in the design and manufacture of unmanned helicopters (VTOL unmanned aerial vehicles) for civilian purposes. The company staff consists of highly qualified specialists with outstanding knowledge in the fields of design, manufacturing, aviation, UAV, geoinformatics and film industry. We are ready to implement any individual solutions to meet the specific needs of the client.

About the product

VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) SDO 50 V2 - is a multipurpose single-engine unmanned system (Synchropter or synchrocopter, English Synchropter: Intermeshing rotor helicopter) with a maximum take-off weight of up to 150kg, with the ability to operate both within sight and beyond.

The unique design features of the SDO 50 V2 provide superior payload performance, long endurance, stable flight characteristics and a high degree of safety. Due to the system of criss-crossing propellers, the tail rotor (finistron) is not required, this approach allowed to reduce the mass of the keel and increase the mass of the payload, which for this drone is 45kg.

SDO 50 V2 is equipped with an autopilot system, is capable of autonomously taking off and landing, as well as flying in accordance with a previously specified route.

Features

  • Installation time in the pre-flight state - 15 minutes
  • Only 2 people are required for full control and management of the UAV
  • Easily transported in the trunk SUV
  • Ease of sensor integration
