Hong Kong Sky Drone Company became the first drone manufacturer in the world to market the ready-to-fly Sky Drone Mk1, controlled by the fifth generation of 5G mobile communications. According to Sky Drone, this event brought us even closer to the first flights of commercial UAVs according to the rules of instrument flight or beyond the line of sight (BVLOS or Beyond Visual Line of Sight).

The weight of the drone is 2.4 kg (with battery, no payload), max. takeoff weight including payload is 3.4 kg, and flight duration is 45 minutes. Sky Drone Mk1 is controlled from a ground station based on a PC or tablet using an additional joystick / gamepad. No traditional controller required for control: all control commands are transmitted over the 4G / 5G network. The system is compatible with ground control software such as QGroundControl and Mission Planner.

About the developer

Encryption System
