* Attention! The project assets were purchased by two different brands. As a result, the drone received two different developments:Mota Group /Viatek.
* According to the latest data (as of 01/12/2017), the developer canceled the project due to lack of funds to start production!
Introduction
The very idea of developing such a drone was born in 2013 in the basement of the robotics laboratory at the University of California at Berkeley. The guys Henry Bradlow and Vakhram Antonyan were the first to consider the idea in which the drone would act as a fully autonomous selfie drone
Review
The weight of the Lily Camera quadcopter is 1.3 kilograms, and its dimensions are really impressive (26.1 × 26.1 × 8.18cm.) As well as its appearance, no sharp corners only smooth streamlined lines. Execution materials: black polycarbonate / brushed aluminum. The main rotor of the quad is immediately striking; they have a folding mechanism for easy transportation in a bag or backpack.
The quad is protected from dust and water by IP67 protocol (full protection from dust and water, up to 1 meter immersion in water) . This allows the drone to land on the water without fear of drowning it, just as taking off the drone from the water is not a problem.
The main control panel (tracking device) LiLy is completely different from the usual remote controls for UAVs, no joysticks, FPV monitors and antennas. This is a compact bracelet bullet with a diameter of only 5.2cm (weight: 28gr) with a basic set of buttons for adjusting the drone operation. It can be attached to your hand, or simply put in your pocket.
It is on him that the Lily drone will always be guided during the entire flight. Whoever has a remote control is in the frame! The bracelet is powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery. It is charged via microUSB connector, with one charger as the drone (included). Working time is about 4 hours. Also, a microphone and a barometer are built into the bracelet.
The remote control itself, unlike the drone, is not protected from water, but this is not a problem, since a waterproof case is included in the kit. As mentioned above, the main remote control for the Lily camera quadrocopter will be a wristband remote control , but if the user wants to "get behind the wheel of the drone", he can always buy a classic remote control. For example, in order to shoot the best shots with the participation of a friend, but on your own and with your own vision of action shooting. The presence of the classic remote control in the kit will significantly expand the capabilities of the drone as a whole.
Flight properties
The Lily camera drone is capable of speeds up to 40 kilometers per hour, which is good news. High-quality photo and video filming can be carried out at a height of 3 - 15 meters from the remote control, at a distance of 3 - 30 meters.
Camera
The Lily camera is equipped with a built-in FullHD camera with a field of view of 94º. The camera shoots photos in 12MP resolution and video in 1920 × 1080p at 60 fps, or in 1280 × 720p at 120 fps, which allows using the Slow Motion function to add beauty to the resulting video frames. All footage is stored on a microSD memory card with a capacity of 4GB (the expansion ceiling is not known yet).

Battery
The quadcopter received a built-in lithium-an ion battery, which allows you to stay in flight for up to 20minutes. Charging is carried out by means of10A chargerdevice (included). Full battery charge time is 2hours. At the moment, this is the only information about the built-in power supply of the drone.
Advanced
- Changing camera settings
- Taking custom pictures
- Editing and sharing footage
- Lily mobile app (for IOS and Android to make drone functions easier to use)
Activation
It only takes a few seconds for the user to launch the Lily camera drone. Activate the remote control, set the quad rotor to the flight position, then turn on the drone itself (the button on its back under the cover). The indicator in the form of a peephole on the front of the drone will light up, throw the quad up, the drone will take off and hover in anticipation of your further movement. To land the drone, activate the "Return to home" function on the remote control or from the gadget and extend your hand, the drone will land directly on your palm.
An application for controlling the functions and settings of the Lily Camera using the gadget will be available for IOS / Android.

What can I say, an excellent idea of the developers, they came up with selfie drone
According to the latest data (01/12/2017), the manufacturer canceled the project due to lack of funds to start production. To everyone who has already made an advance payment for the drone, the company will return the money within 60 days.
