Introduction
Friends, quite recently, SIA Helico Aerospace Industries, through the well-known crowdfunding service Kickstarter, announced a fundraiser to launch the production of a modified highly intelligent drone of the second generation - Airdog ADII. The result was not long in coming and ADII became officially available for purchase. This state of affairs could not fail to please all those lovers of an active lifestyle who have already managed to get acquainted with the previous model Airdog.
The Airdog - is a highly intelligent sports drone controlled by a waterproof AirLeash tracker wristband. The main purpose of the Airdog is highly intelligent photo and video shooting in a fully automatic mode according to a pre-selected algorithm.
Appearance
The manufacturer did not change the appearance of the drone, except for its color. The changes affected the functionality and manufacturability of ADII. The list of the main features of the drone includes:
Built-in LIDAR
Airdog ADII received a built-in LIDAR (Light Identification Detection and Ranging) detection and ranging. Thanks to this technology, regardless of the flight speed, the quad is able to prevent collisions with the ground even in places where the terrain has sharp elevation changes. Patented algorithms work closely with the readings of drone sensors such as barometer, accelerometer and GPS, which in general allows the ADII to respond extremely accurately and quickly to extreme changes in altitude, eliminating collision with the ground at the root.
Wind resistance
Robust, weather resistant frame coupled with high quality powertrain allows the ADII to be used in high wind conditions up to 15m / s while maintaining excellent pursuit and capture quality.
Configurable Flight Plan
Now the user can program a future flight taking into account elevation differences, trees, buildings and any other obstacles that may meet on his way. In this mode, the ADII will dutifully follow the tracker, keeping its owner in the center of the frame throughout the flight, but with pre-flight adjustments taken into account.

Three new Follow Modes have been added specifically for open areas where there are no obstacles:

Individual Approach
Each sport requires an individual approach to shooting, so the AirLeash tracker interface has 11 presets: Race Track, Trail, Wake Cable, Backcountry, Behind a Boat, Snow Park, DH Skiing, Surf / Sup, Windsurf, Kiteboard, Skate Park, each of which will allow the user to get the most out of their shooting, depending on the sport.

Five preset shooting modes allow the user to fully reveal the beauty of the world around you with one touch on the AirLeash tracker.
Smart Tracking
Thanks to unique algorithms, the Airdog ADII will always keep the tracker owner centered in the frame. The AirLeash tracker has a number of sensors that help determine its exact position and movement in space in real time. The received data from the GPS is checked against the readings of the 9-axis EMU (includes a gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer) and a barometer, after which it is transmitted online to the drone. By combining unique motion prediction technology and intelligent pursuit algorithms in sports, it allowed the output to implement high-precision tracking in the most difficult situations.
Gimbal
A reinforced three-axis Gimbal is responsible for providing smooth frames without vibrations, which is able to hold the camera along all axes, regardless of drone flight dynamics. The high-speed gimbal stabilization system allows you to get professional-level shooting regardless of weather conditions. It is also worth noting that the gimbal adapter provides recharging of the camera's power throughout the flight. The camera will now turn on and off automatically during takeoff and landing.

Auto Landing
Landing is fully automated. The user can activate manual landing using the tracker. And also Airdog ADII will automatically land when the battery charge reaches the minimum threshold. Moreover, he can do this both in the immediate vicinity of the tracker and at the take-off point.
