On December 14, DJI Innovations unveiled a new battery station built specifically for the TB50 smart batteries. DJI Battery Station is a new mobile solution for charging, storing and transporting batteries.

Charging

Thanks to intelligent control - DJI Battery Station can simultaneously charge up to 8 × TB50 batteries, as well as through multiple ports to charge:

1 × Inspire 2 remote control
1 × battery CrystalSky / Cendence
2 × mobile devices (USB port)

The contents of the charging station are protected against ingress of water and dust with an ingress protection rating of IP67.

Charging modes

DJI Battery Station has 3 charging modes:

Normal - all TB50 batteries (up to 8 batteries) are simultaneously charged to a full charge.
Quick - in fast mode, the system selects 4 × TB50 batteries with the highest charge level from one battery group for charging. It takes only 35 minutes to charge 4 × battery to 90%.
Silent - in silent mode, the charging speed is reduced, thereby reducing the noise of the charging station. The mode is relevant for quiet charging of the battery in the evening and at night, when silence is a priority.

Information display

The built-in monochrome LCD screen allows you to view charge status information, firmware numbers for each battery, and even perform updates (updates up to 8 Battery at the same time when the station is connected to a computer via a USB cable using the software - DJI Assistant 2)

Capacity and usability

The station case allows simultaneous storage and transportation of up to 12 × TB50 batteries 2 × CrystalSky / Cendence batteries 1 × charging hub for batteries CrystalSky / Cendencepower cable. Also, for ease of transportation, castors and a telescopic handle are built into the body. Which makes the battery station easy to travel.

Safety

The heat generated during battery charging through the ventilation ducts is forcibly removed by the built-in fan, which works in close connection with the temperature monitoring system. Each of the batteries is monitored in real time by the system. If one of them overheats, the charging / discharging process will be automatically canceled.

The materials used in the construction of the DJI Battery Station comply with USA UL94 V-0 flammability standards, which generally reduces the likelihood of risks in extreme conditions.
